AKG K702 Headphones Review
These headphones are in the mid price range category and yet resemble a super high range headphone. That is the first striking feature of the AKG K702 Headphones. They are quite large to give great ear coverage and the design is simply superb which gives it a modern yet classy look. The ear pads provide an over the ear design, which is suited to give you a surround sound feel when it comes to listening to music.
They are huge and comfy with special foam which gives immense comfort to one’s ears. Even the headband is very adjustable and easy to use and you will not even feel as if you are wearing a headphone and can simply lose yourself in the world of music. They are shaped and styled like a very high end variant from the AKG group itself.
Open sound quality is the prime feature when it comes to the sound of the AKG K702 Headphones. The quality of music overall is excellent. It does not close in the music but rather keeps it fresh and crisp. The sound is pretty professional for this range in the headphones category and has been designed with the use of the best technology. Not just that, almost all music can be enjoyed here. It may not be the best for each and every genre but will give you a good performance for most.
Another great feature is a detachable cable. AKG brand is well renowned for durability and sturdiness. Anything belonging to this group is built for long hours and heavy duty usage. The AKG K702 Headphones is no different. The 10 foot long cable can be carried anywhere as it is detachable. It is also thick and of studio quality. The jack is 3.5 mm and can be used with most gadgets at home or outside.
It is made for both home and outside usage. One downside however to the AKG K702 Headphones is that there is no storage or carrying case included in the package which dampens the transportation and travelling experience.

AKG K550 VS AUDIO TECHNICA ATH M50 - WHAT ARE THE KEY DIFFERENCES AND WHICH ONE IS BETTER?
Audio Technica is another firm which produces “studio” headsets. One of their top products is the ATH M50. Some users have argued that the M50 lack any form of a 3D soundstage whilst its sound is not that natural, as its bass is very strong and it lacked detail across most mid-range frequencies. However, the ATH M50 is substantially cheaper than the AKG K550. If your budget is $150+ then the AKG K550 would be a better option for you.
