SOLID SOUND AND VALUE FOR MONEY ARE THE MAIN FACTORS THAT MAKE THE ATH-ANC7B QuietPoint TO STAND OUT
The Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7B QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling Headphones offer a good competition to the Bose range of noise cancelling headphones set under a much bigger price tag. The headphone is not at all heavy and has some good features to its credit.
The brand is known for durability and comfort. The Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7B QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling Headphones also maintain this with a better and very comfortable ear cup and extra padded headband. The design is closed back which means that environmental noises are reduced by more than 91%. Other than that, the fit and adjustability of the headphone to the shape and size of the head is also really good ensuring that one can wear them in peace. The headphones are also foldable which makes it easier to carry around.
On the flip side, the sound quality could have been slightly better. The headphones provide a moderately good quality but fades in comparison to some of its other series as well as to other brands’ headphones with similar features. Also, the music or the sounds lose its potency when the noise cancellation technology is turned off.
However, the headphone works really well when the batteries or charge is over if one switches of the noise cancellation. This is not possible in many other headphones including Bose.
There are two cables provided with the headphone. The detachable cables come in two sizes measuring 1.6 m and 1 m depending on usage. This together with the foldable feature ensures that one can use the Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7B QuietPoint Active Noise-Cancelling Headphones while travelling as well. There is a 3.5 mm jack that goes with most gadgets, cell phones and laptops ensuring that you are never really far from your music.
IS THE ATH-ANC7B QUIET POINT BETTER THAN THE BOSE QUIET COMFORT 3?
Both models have similar characteristics, however, the Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B costs nearly half the price of the Bose Quiet Comfort 3! It terms of sound, they both have an equally strong noise cancelling technology, which ensure that you listen to your music only, and not to environmental noises. It can be argued that the metallic materials of the Bose Quite Comfort 3 as well as is brand recognition, make it superior to the Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B, but a lot of people believe that the price difference does not justify this. This is reinforced by the fact that Audio Technica is a well-established company that only manufactures sound and acoustic products.
