BOSE MIE2i - IMPROVED FIT AND SOUND PERFORMANCE

Bose has unveiled their new improvised range of the in-ear headphones, the MIE2i. Its predecessor, the MIE had not received good reviews given its manufacturing company is synonymous with impeccable quality. The first generation had received complaints regarding the fit, which prompted the company to issue new silicon ear-tips in order to rectify the problem.

With the new generation MIE2i, there is no issue with regard to fitting. The earphones sit slightly above the ear, and have specially designed wings that fit in the bowl of your ear and within the ridge of your ear; keeping the earphones from being displaced. The silicon ear-tips are called StayHear and come in a range of three sizes-S, M, and L- to suit every user, and without the wings. The winged ear-tips are also available in three sizes-S, M and L. these ear-tips ensure that the earphones are plugged in properly but they are not of tight fitting. There is some amount of room left in the user’s ear canal wherein the music is directed. While this results in some amount of sound to bleed out, it also leave some room for the ear canal to breathe without providing for damage to the ear drum.

The MIE2i is not a set of noise cancellation headphones; and you’re likely to hear a lot of street noise accompanied with your music. However, the sound quality has been improved upon by adding another port to bulk up on the bass. There is good balance; not incredibly deep which is probably the best feature of the MIE2i. The other details are reasonably good; nothing exceptional. However, the treble may seem to bit a tad bit harsh; compressing the sound ranges between softer and louder sounds. The MIE2i also ensures that you can take and make calls while on the go. There is an in-built microphone to suit phone users.

The sound clarity when using this feature has been found to be good. Make sure your phone has the 3.5 mm jack instead of the regular and older 2.5 mm jack and you’re good to use the MIE2i for a call without having to take them off. The MIE2i is also compatible with iPhones and iPod controls. While on call, the music pauses for you and resumes when the call has been disconnected. The MIE2i is a pair of smart technology, albeit without Bose’s usual nose cancellation feature. It comes in a protective carrying case. Also, within the price range, it is a reasonable deal. Last but not least, the MIE2i come in 3 different sizes (small, medium and large) for your to choose, based on the size of your ears.
